Just released a new interview with Joel Meadows at Tripwire Magazine. It gets pretty heavy so be careful. 🍷🤔😭😄😐
Links in the bio.
Also, 20 pages of interviews in the book itself if you’re hunting hard for more of my mouth garbage!
Here’s an old 5ft graphite drawing that ended up under the couches.. and for the reason why, here’s a repost from @menorcapulsar
Hope to see ya there!🍷 JEREMY MANN + NADEZDA BOOTCAMP 🎨
Let’s be clear:
If you have attended several workshops you already know that many teachers strive not to hurt the sensitivity of their students, raising their spirits with good words.
– All right, you’re on the right track! Try to correct this or that… Good job!
Does this ring a bell?
And yes, of course, you appreciate the words of encouragement, but you do not want to be treated like a child either. You are there to learn, to fight hard, to criticize yourself hard. You want to transform your vision, really improve from within.
You need, for once, someone to tell you loud and clear what you are doing wrong and what you should do to improve. You’ve known it for a long time, but it scares you. You need someone who knows what he’s talking about and has a helping intention, it’s not about being kind. You need someone to give you an honest hand, as a real friend does.
Without bulllol. Honesty first.
I’m not talking about rectifying the size of a head or darkening the whites of the eyes. Nothing like that. I talk about rectifying your attitude, your beliefs, your goals, your habits, your ego. I talk about thinking deeply about what you really do, on where you want to go. I talk about thinking deeply and taking drastic measures.
All great change entails a great crisis, and you must assume the challenge of leaving your comfort zone if you really want to improve.
It will not be easy. You will need a lot of coffee and all the support from the group. You will end the day satisfied, exhausted, with that feeling of weightlessness like when something new and powerful invades you… Do you know what I’m talking about?
If what I’m saying connects with you, READ ON:
Jeremy Mann is selecting a group of artists who are willing to give the 100% of themselves 12 hours a day, for five days. Artists willing to undress, to change, to transform. Willing to become adult artists.
So, do you have what it takes join Jeremy Mann and Nadezda Bootcamp?
MANN vol. 2 just arrived at the warehouse and the guys are already packing ‘em up for Christmas. As promised, all who pre-ordered the book before the 8th are receiving a FREE shipping upgrade to priority express international or priority domestic due to the horrible conditions at the customs depot. Merry Christmas! (Ps. Yes, the eye bags are real 😂😐)

Are you serious, San Francisco?
What a depressing realization.. I mean, even if my art is crap in your eyes you could Ebay the books for stupid cheap and buy some more of that rediculously expensive paint supplies. I had high hopes that we could inspire a revival of the serious art community, and learn some stuff about nature, (the source of much inspirations!) But, TWO PEOPLE?! Now I feel bad that I convinced those two people to go sketch amidst the sea of young drunks trying to make out in front of aquariums... sheesh. I believe it’s now safe to finally admit that SF has changed too much from when I first came here and lived within a sea of artistry. (Perhaps not for you, but for me.) for that reason, both of the lone souls who participated will get all four books. Congrats @lowfi_steve and @jonitosart .. message me with your address.
Perhaps I’ll do this again for every US city soon... after a stiff drink of reflection, that is. 😊
Tonight’s the night in SF! Head out to Nightlife at the @calacademy and sketch some of your favorite specimens and creatures, post them on Instagram with a photo of your ticket and tag
for a chance to win all four volumes of my silly books! Get out and learn some lol while sketching creatures, what a great way to live. 😊🍷
Specimen sketchin at last Thursday’s Nightlife at the @calacademy - WIN ALL 4 VOLUMES of books: How? Go to the next Nightlife at the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, sketch a bunch of your favorite little (or big) creatures and specimens, post them in Instagram with an image of your ticket and a random winner will be notified Saturday February 3rd! You must tag
on your post! This is not a competition about technical quality or skill or vision or nothin.. just get out and sketch some animals from life (these ones hold real still too) and upgrade your grey matter on nature! (And have a cocktail... of course.)
Inspired by last Thursday’s watercolor night at the Academy of Sciences hosted by @t.bozic - a good idea for sure, thanks!
Coming Soon - the premier of the film “The Conductor”
A solo project which has consumed the energy of all 24 hours in every day and nightmare for the past several months, will have its debut at @havengallery in conjunction with @twistedmatter ‘s solo show opening on February 24th, Long Island, NY.
Seats are incredibly limited and RSVP for the screening is necessary by contacting the gallery in advance. The Solo show of Nadezda’s paintings, the impetus and inspiration for the film, will be open that night to the public of her largest exhibition of paintings to date, complimented by a beautiful catalogue of work, with collector’s editions including an original drawing available now via the gallery.
We all hope you’ll join us for this memorable once in a lifetime night of blood, sweat, tears, dreams, nightmares, art, creativity, and the suffering love for it all. 🍷
