Heaps Decent is turning ten and one of my pieces is up for grabs in their Charity Art Auction this Wednesday night, 6-9pm at Special Group Projects in Surry Hills. The auctioneer will be Australian legend @myfwarhurst and if you can't make it, you can place an absentee bid by contacting the @heapsdecent team via the website: heapsdecent.com/category/iheart/. 🌸Details of the artwork: 420mm x 594mm, Giclée Print on Hahnemühle 100% Cotton Photo Rag Paper, Framed.🌸 If you're not familiar with the amazing work of Heaps Decent, they are an arts organisation that works with young people & emerging artists from marginalised & disadvantaged communities to provide a means by which they can tell their story in their own way. All funds raised from the art auction will go directly into delivering projects where they are most needed.

Read the interview online at thedesignkids.org/interviews/gemma-obrien. Link in bio. (P.S If you don't already know about @thedesignkids ...it's an amazing platform to connect design students and industry, run by superwoman @frankieratford 💪🏼🌞🚐.)

The illustrations feature a few my favourite things: florals, snakes and lettering! 🥀🐍✍🏼 Here are some of the sketches from the early stages of the collaboration. Looking forward to sharing the final pieces from the range later this month.
