I am currently working on a large installation at the @geraldtonregionalartgallery painting directly onto the walls of the entire lower gallery over 10 days. The work will be up for 7 weeks then it will be completely removed. If you would like to see the work in progress and hear more about the project I have an artist talk tomorrow (Sat 9th) in the gallery at 11am. The final artwork will launch to the public on the 15th of December 6-8pm All welcome.
I am excited to announce the short film 'A QUIET REVOLUTION | ORDERED CHAOS' is now online. It is a collection of footage and photographs from the past 12 years in 15 minutes. Exploring my art life from the early days making posters and working under an alias to moving into gallery shows and formal public art projects. My work in recent years has shifted focus from being so heavily street based and my personal interests / aesthetics have also changed - so it felt like the right time to gather the content and put this short film out into the world as I progress and move forward.
I see documentation as a critical part of visual art and I am honoured to have been working with @peacockvisuals for the past 8 years. Without his vision most of this footage wouldn't exist and be at such a high quality. It has literally taken 12 years of work to make the content of this film and showcases projects from across the world - so please enjoy. Let's see what happens in the next 12. One week left to see my installation in person at the @geraldtonregionalartgallery the space returns to white Jan 10th. For those concerned the work is being removed, that uncomfortable feeling is intentional and attempts to force the viewer to be aware of the moment. Thanks to everyone involved with the project.
‘Three heads’ on view as part of my Colour and Movement installation at the @geraldtonregionalartgallery show is open until January 10
‘Colour and Movement’ is now open to the public at the @geraldtonregionalartgallery Dec 15 - Jan 10 the installation is painted directly onto the walls of the lower gallery (approx 50m in total width by 3.2m) and took around 130 hours to complete.
