to varnishing my piece inspired by the film "Under The Skin." Such a creepy, sexy movie! Before I varnish my watercolor pieces, I use a spray varnish to set the painting before I brush more varnish on. More info is in my blog post about mounting watercolor paper to panel via my website. 🌟
Are you curious about how I draw Mucha/art nouveau-style hair? After much demand, I am doing a LIVE Demo tomorrow through my Patreon! I will be talking about how I use the hair to create negative shapes, inform the composition, find balance and movement, and of course, will walk you through drawing it all the way through painting it in watercolor. Join my Patreon and don't miss out!

Long ago in a faraway land, I was an emerging artist in Atlanta, GA, just barely out of college and just beginning to figure out what I'm all about... In about a month, I'm going to be around my old stomping grounds - Kennesaw, Marietta, and Atlanta! While visiting, I'd like to find a venue/shop/gallery to host a Pop Up Shop with me and my work! Please tag and recommend cool spots that would dig this idea, or friends in Atlanta that might know! 🍑 ("Coy," 2011, watercolor)
Done with the watercolor underpainting! Now onto sealing it and then glazing in fluid acrylics to further tweak colors and add additional details. I will be sharing a process post on my Patreon soon after this is done!
