"All that was left of their power was trapped in a single seed from the last fruit of the Star Tree.
Over the years that seed passed from hand to hand and was kept secret by an elusive band of monks called the Seed-Keepers"
Excerpt from the comic I'm working on: SkyHeart. Getting really close to finishing the drawing on this book. Can't wait to share it with you guys!
I can't believe inktober is in TWO DAYS! This year I'm going to do a new drawing everyday on a single piece of paper, a traveler of some sort, so that when I'm finished it should be an eclectic group of travelers off on an adventure. Hope it works out.
You should try it sometime: make up a character and draw it in the style of on of your favorite artists. You will learn a ton about how the artist works and why they make certain artistic decisions. Make sure you look at a lot of their work and maybe do a few copies first.
Are you guys ready for next week???
Aphelion the witch with her interplanetary broom.
Breaking in my new sketchbook from @illosketchbook. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a new sketchbook that takes ink and marker well. Still need to do an inkwash/watercolor test with it though.
Hey, the Inktober shirts are available for just a few more days from @cottonbureau I just got mine and it's my new favorite shirt! Seriously love this it's fit and material. Link in my profile.
World Art Drop Day is this Tuesday September 5th!
All artists, (that means students and professionals, painters and cartoonists, sculptors and illustrators, animators and fine artists, photographers and printmakers; EVERYONE who creates) this September 5th is World Art Drop Day. Wherever you find yourself that day, drop a piece of your art and tell someone where to find it. The world needs this right now. We need to feel a little more connection to each other and there's nothing like the bond two random strangers can make through the act of creating and giving.
Here's how it works:
* Draw a picture and hide it somewhere.
* Take a photo of either the art or the hiding spot or a combination of both.
* Post the image, the city you dropped it in, and a hint on any social media of your choice. Be sure to included the hashtag:
* Then move on, hoping someone finds it. OR hang around and meet your new friend.
* You can put a note on their too that says who you are and what Art Drop Day is. Go to artdropday.com for more info and an official sheet to print out and enclose with your art.
I'll be dropping a drawing somewhere in
