Thanks to studioman @quintanarte for also being the cameraman.
I drew up this for @brendanxtrom (pictured) in honor of his friend Scotty. RIP. Coincidentally my friend @henrylewis77 translated it on his skin recently and it’s better than the original! •
A few months ago this image was used for a shirt design for an American Foundation for Suicide Prevention fundraiser Brendan put together. I was told it helped raise 10k. I think that is incredible. Thanks @circasurvive and all of you that grabbed a shirt and especially thanks to Brendan Ekstrom for everything 🙏🙏🙏
Detail from the painting “Hugs etc..” print coming soon
Ugg. Soybean had to get an eye removed. Gut wrenching decision to say the least, but I think he’s gonna be ok! Wish him luck!
For 2 weeks he had an ulcer in his eye that was healing but ended up ruptured. The vet only gave him a 50%-60% that it could be saved with a skin graft, but might need to be taken out anyways. He had an ulcer in that eye 10 years ago that had complications healing and it wasn’t even broken like this, so went the pirate route instead of the long, drugged-up and uncertain one with eye surgery. Sorry
Check out Tomer Hanuka’s illustration work. @tropical_toxic We went to SVA together. His confident line work, color choices, his wit both visually and in casual conversation are things I’ve always admired and am still envious of. SUPER influential in my formative years and his work is more beautiful than ever. We talked ‘art’ over many cups of coffee n sketchbooks back then. On top of that, he got me my first art job as a Flash animator/illustrator.
It was great seeing you Tomer!
