Like a lot of artists and small businesses, I’ve grown tired of my IG feed being more about adverts and things IG wants me to do than the content I’m interested in and want to see.
What used to be fun and inspirational is now more of a chore, as everything gets buried beneath whatever the latest algorithm decides.
So now there seems to be an alternative. I’m on Vero and will be posting there as well as here on IG. A lot of artists and friends are doing the same, so give it a try. It’s a bit buggy at the moment but it will be interesting to see how it grows..
Charcoal and graphite in the moleskine. Working through a few ideas for further exploration.
I’ve not had much to post on IG lately, hard at work on new paintings that I can’t share yet. So here’s something form 2012. Acrylic on rives BFK paper
Charcoal Crow 🖤
“Halcyon” - graphite and gold leaf on wood panel stained with leaf mould. It’s been a while since I’ve worked with graphite on wood (this is from 2014). Note to self: do it again. Stained and messed up surfaces can add an so much to the story of an image.
Finishing the weekend with some scribbles in the moleskine.
