I get a lot of people asking me advice on how to “make it as an artist” my advice is to be as original as possible, draw (paint, sculpt, write, photograph, etc.) every day, always push yourself past your comfort zones. Try to make every art piece your new masterpiece. Never copy anyone else, don’t steal styles/ideas. Do your own thing long enough and to the best of your abilities and it will be noticed. Put your work out into the world. Make opportunities for yourself when no one is offering them to you. Never quit and always be true to your vision.
I’ve been wanting to get into risograph printing, but have no idea where to start. Any riso artists want to give me tips/tricks?
I updated my lolty website. Take a look. Link in my bio.
I’ll get back to my regular style soon. (I don’t have my prismacolors in the new house yet)
Messing around with inks.
Messing around with some inks. Whipped up these funky birds.
Holy lol! 95K! I can’t thank you all enough for making this “being an artist” thing possible. Your support means more to me than I can express in an Instagram post. To express my gratitude I’m going to do something kind of crazy.
I’m going to give away 3 original drawings. The way this will work is: post a comment below with an idea for a drawing, and tag a friend. I will pick my favorite 3 ideas and draw them up. The commenters will receive those drawings.
Thanks a million everyone!
