In my recent exhibition ‘16:9’ I’m introducing a new character titled ‘Geo Neko’ (‘Neko’ taken from the Japanese ‘Maneki Neko’ meaning ‘Beckoning cat’) Geo Neko is a reappropriation of the familiar Maneki Neko. I’ve been looking for a subject to use in order to personify the Internet. I see @geo.neko as a mascot embodying the collective conscious of our social media obsessed culture.
In trying to rethink the use of mirror in my work, the sculpture is now waving into the glass at itself.

Cheers to all the London cru for making it too! Feeling blessed 🙏🏽
