El Laberinto del Fauno (detail), ink and gouache on paper, 2011. This was part of the Guillermo del Toro series for @mondotees - another one of my favorite films checked off the list, a surreal masterpiece and perfect for a snowed-in evening on the tail end of the year.
Treasure Map (detail), colored pencil on paper, circa 1988. Even though this artifact isn't dated I'm going to place it squarely in the age range of 10-the area pictured measures approximately 5"x 5" and is creatively titled "Dinosaur Land". Other regions include "Desert of Spirits", "Sacrofice Villige (sic)" and "The Shark Sea". The reverse includes a full step-by-step walk through to the treasure (100 million dollars). "It will take you 2 years to get there, (if you live!)"
Rose Shards working sketch (detail), pencil on paper, 2014. A portion of the lavish packaging for the Eryops Rose print included as part of the Rose Shards box set offered via Megafauna. Apologies for the delay with this release-it's been quite a hectic few months here and over at @studioonfire where this final element is being produced. I guarantee the wait will be worth it.
Dawnbringer (detail), screenprint, 2011. Metallic gold lettering on cool grey stock was an unexpectedly successful combination. Wish I could have made it to this show, one of only a handful the band had played at the time.
