Plugging away on this wall with @esao for @powwowhawaii - this dude is going above and beyond, climbing on roofs, killing smoothies, keeping lol generally irie. Legend. Having so much fun here-thanks to everyone involved.
Molly Lolly, ballpoint pen on Fabriano, 5x7 inches, 2015. Unwinding after a day of moving, ascending and descending ladders in Hawaii. Featuring assorted tools of the trade and the Homeward Bound Sparrow Skull ring via @bloodmilk
Megatherium Americanum, acrylic and gouache on cherry, approx 6" tall, 2010. This gigantic ground sloth ranged from Argentina to Texas as recently as 10,000 years ago. Standing 7 feet at the shoulder and growing up to 20 feet long, a full grown M. americanum had no natural predators and was well positioned as an imposing herbivorous presence of the late Pliocene. Thanks to all thirty thousand plus followers, I'm completely humbled to be posting another one of these numeric block paintings already.
No More Noir (detail), acrylic on Masonite, 2003. This was part of the outer gatefold art for the Jack Spaar s/t album and its title was in reference to the fact that I used no black paint on this piece. Created entirely in Windom, Minnesota.
On the beach reverse defensive position goat sketch with @esao for @booooooom - look for a time lapse short film of the making of this thing on the @booooooom feed sooooooon... An amazing finish to an incredibly inspiring voyage-I'll be back, Hawaii, no question.
Working guide for the wall just completed with @esao at @freshcafehi for @powwowhawaii 2015. I can't believe this thing survived the week-it soaked up so much sweat and filth it doesn't even feel like paper anymore. This trip was an absolute blast in every way, I cannot thank those responsible enough...
