A floating Grace for Lux, ballpoint pen on Fabriano, 2015. I've gotten a crash-course education in the field of American Girl dolls and their surprisingly vast universe this past year, this was an early morning field study.
Beautiful hand cut inlay by @petermelford ⚔⚔⚔ Ebony and padauk hardwoods with mother of pearl and paua abalone Osprey inlay pictured here in repose on an 1840 edition of Moore's Lalla Rookh from the @bloodmilk library. Peter presented me with this handmade rendition of my studio mark at the opening of The Gilded Age in September of last year, absolutely bowled over by the incredible craftsmanship and generosity-thanks so much, sir!
Detail shot of an absolutely beautiful crystallized cicada by fellow Midwesterner @tylerthrasherart that I was lucky enough to receive as a gift from the lovely @bloodmilk this past holiday season. Tyler's art ranges from these beautifully embellished natural specimens to wonderfully realized illustrations to mouth-watering photography (check out his stunningly curated IG feed for proof). A true renaissance man, I'm honored to include this piece in my collection. ◼️◼️◼️
Forgotten Library label beautifully engraved in metallic silver ink by @studioonfire for the @bloodmilk Exquisite Corpse project which launches later this year. Honored to be among the collaborators involved with this initial eXc offering, keep an eye on the @bloodmilk IG account for further updates. ⚔⚔⚔
Rowley Motörhead, ink and gouache on paper, 2005. This one was based on Joe Petagno's iconic logo for Motörhead and used for a blackened @geoffrowley pro model graphic which started appearing in shops a decade ago. Ian Fraser Kilmister departed this earthly plane yesterday at the age of 70, leaving behind a legacy that would be a goddamned Herculean task to upend-RIP Lemmy ⚔⚔⚔
