You ready for a long ass read? After falling more times than I can count and not crying once I have been convinced that these two are already self driven. I don't skate anymore and never once have I forced them to come here but my boy woke up at 5:15 this AM and whispered to me "I want to go to the skate park". We had to wait til his brother woke up at 7 but we got here before all the other big kids and I just sat back and watched. I am always amazed at kids (in the 80's and 90's) who took it upon themselves to go out and skate or do graff (before skate parks and legal walls) when a majority of people were telling them it was the wrong thing to do. It's easy for kids to fall into traditional sports and excel (and I'm not knocking that at all) because everyone sees a future or says they can get a scholarship but I salute all the parents who allowed us kids to to the "non traditional" things in life and allow our desires to become a reality. Thank you rad Moms and Dads for taking a chance.
