Tbt I-40 freeway next to Fisk University, the first historically black college in America. Nashville, Tn. 2001. Repost: @eanestagram
In 86' or maybe 87' I saw this I believe on the inside jacket of an ICE-T record. I was living at the time in suburban Phoenix, Az. There was no graffiti there, my cousin and I saw BEAT STREET and Ramo was my new anti-hero. This is one of those early images that fascinates/terrifies you simultaneously and changes everything for a kid. Years later I learned talking to Risk it was LA legend DREAM that painted that wall for ICE-T. When I finally had the honor of meeting DREAM In 2010 I shook his hand and thanked him for making me want to paint graffiti... sadly he passed away less than a year later.
