Paid a visit to the Master!.... It is an understatement to say this man is an inspiration. Mikes influence on me is one of the reasons I create art and pursued my career as an artist. I’ve been following Mikes work since I was a teenager in high school (2002) I remember vividly seeing his art for the first time and being so inspired! His style and dedication to perfection is what showed me that anything is possible and that you can have a career creating art and live happily. My path to becoming an artist was mostly self taught. I learned most of what I know by watching and studying what people do and their techniques and ask lots of questions and applying it to what I was doing. As I was first getting started in the pinstriping/lettering and custom paint game I needed to learn how to find my own style and identity like any artist does and I would always look to Mike and I still do to this day look to Mike as a guide, not only to refer to his art or technique but also his work ethic and lifestyle too. Everything he is and does just makes so much sense to me and is like a model of what I wanted to be like. So for that, I have a lot to be thankful for and appreciate the kind friendship that Mike has made with me. I only met him once in 2014 for the first time and this was my second time actually talking to him in person and spending some real quality time yesterday and I was so stoked! I told Mike that I literally have had dreams of this day and to be there yesterday talking and sharing stories and looking through his collection of art and ephemera was a very surreal experience. Thanks again @ogmikegiant for everything, I appreciate you opening your home to us. 👑🙏🏼❤️
Finished this mural last week for @heroesmotors on Melrose ave in West Hollywood. Artwork was designed by the owner, Serge. Very nice design and fun to paint. Thanks for the work, I really appreciate it. Thanks for looking! ✌🏽
Work in progress for the @thewolvesdtla. I will be painting this on the windows of their amazing bar that’s being painstakingly built with a lot of beautiful architecture and great eye candy. Can’t wait to get this done!
