Day 19-24. Spot the difference?
Once I finished the 3rd silo I realised that they didn’t all balance because Kelly was too big. There was no easy was to fix this other than re-painting.
Sometimes I get asked what happens if I make a mistake. In the studio I just don’t show anyone, but in public I just have to fix it...
Day 18 - This is Corrina Eccles @corbjkyza , a direct descendent of Queen Mary of the Wadawurrung she also works for Wadawurrung Aboriginal Corporation. Meeting Corrina opened my eyes to the vast history of an area I thought I knew so well. Geelong has a significant amount of history I wish I was informed about growing up here, I hope the work Corrina is doing will change this.
@brettfergusonphotography sent some great pics of some of the extra works I did whilst painting the @siloarttrail —
This is Old Wally & Irene they have lived in this area for 25 years. They still live behind the old post office they used to run before it closed down.
Day 13- @kellycartwright (Right) Kelly grew up in Portarlington, just outside Geelong. At 15 due to an aggressive cancer she had her right leg removed. Despite this she has gone on to win gold & silver medals 🏅 at the Paralympics in Long jump & 100m. Her determination in inspirational.
