We left the pools yest in the city & sadly saw police removing a body from the bay. In that moment we were reminded again about life & witnessed the pain of that family who were crying as they watched their loved one leave, a possible drowning but we won’t ever know. Whatever you face today continue to follow your dreams, follow life. Our mural in Mount Maunganui for @street_prints told that story using the roimata pattern. It symbolized the movement of a painful & black past towards a future with colour & hope - that for the endemic NZ Dottrel but a symbol for all humanity. Make your life count & love the people around you because every day is a gift to be unwrapped if we can decide there is something worth finding inside.
Now that was a busy year of travel, balancing life & working towards our dreams. Our 4 amazing kids made it through school, we managed to survive as full time artists, participated in some great events, created commissions, painted graffiti & designed for commercial developments. So thankful we have a house over our head & a 6 month schedule booked with more travel to come oml. We worked in Hong Kong twice, Rarotonga, Tonga, French Polynesia & around Aotearoa. We mourned, celebrated, failed & succeeded, argued & laughed but never gave up. I’m so thankful my family is safe, my marriage is stronger, my heart is fuller, my life is simpler, my mind is challenged & my soul & spirit fulfilled, entering 2018 is an exciting adventure waiting to happen so bring it on!
