feather release. With his blessing I’m reposting this photo and some words below that he posted along with it.
REPOST: "I took this photo the very moment we got word of our victory at Standing Rock on December 4th 2014. On this day the Army Corps of Engineers denied a permit for the construction of a key section of the Dakota Access Pipeline, (the section that would go under the Missouri River) granting a major victory for us.
The decision was meant to halt the construction of the 1,172-mile oil pipeline just north of the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. The 3.8 billion dollar project had been stopped solely by native unity and indigenous sovereignty. Now, one month later the Army Corps has neglected to log its intent to conduct an Environmental Impact Statement. This makes it so Trump and all the supporters of DAPL can start drilling again more easily.
With a new administration coming to Washington, (Trump and his greed ridden billionaire thugs) the time is NOW to ensure a full Environmental Impact Statement is conducted. Energy Transfer Partners has cut corners left and right and violated so many laws and native treaties in the construction of The DAPL…”
