Clearing out the studio and I've found 3 spare copies of my book “Vessel” tucked away. The main run sold out last year, but if you missed out, this is your chance to snag a copy - I've just added them to my store :) I’ve also added a small charcoal drawing (swipe ⬅️ to see each drawing) to each of the copies - each book with an original small charcoal is available for £100 at http://craww.bigcartel.com/. Link in my profile. Cheers!
Random sketchbook moments this afternoon. I've been busy finishing/packing the work for my show next month and now it's done. I'm in a weird kind of lull. I'm looking forward to to visiting Rome in a few weeks, recharging the batteries and hunting down some inspiration!
Shooting new work for @nerogalleryroma. @davidshortstuff doing a great job as always. Thank you sir 🍻
Finished drawing. Charcoal and graphite on 560mm x 500mm Fabriano.
I've had a lot of fun trying out a few ideas and working with charcoal this week, i took a few process pics of the latest for your amusement. Starting out like this, drawn up and about to disappear under a ton of charcoal. Swipe through the pics for subsequent stages - after blending the charcoal i lift a lot of it off again to create the highlights, then work over it with charcoal and graphite to refine the tones and detail. I'm using Generals 6b charcoal pencils, a kuru togi mechanical pencil and a rotring clutch pencil. Using a putty eraser and a hard eraser to work into the charcoal. This is probably not the best way to work! Ignorance is bliss...still in progress
Varnishing today, starting to pull things together for next months ahow at @nerogalleryroma
Scribbles in the moleskine.
Working in a new moleskine, i may or may not have been a tad influenced by watching The Witch again last week. 🖤
